This is just a list I ran across showing how the Texas cities stack up in the U.S for conventions. The results are quite interesting to say the least.

If it’s raw square feet you need and plenty of hotel rooms, you’ll want to consider one of the top 25 convention centers. These facilities are in cities that are the busiest places in terms of convention visits according to a report by the Travel Industry Association of America (TIA), the National Business Travel Association (NBTA) and the Institute of Business Travel Management.

It wasn't surprising to see Dallas in the top 10.

Awesome news for Dallas being #6!

They need to update the 20 year old Flash pictures on their website though...

Houston is only 4 spots lower than Detroit and one spot lower than Sacramento if that is any consolation for them.I wonder how that big convention hotel of theirs is doing?

I'm surprised that Arlington isn't on the list. I've been to more conventions and training events at the Arlington convention center than all the others combined. It's right there next door to the Texas Ranger's stadium. That place always seems busy.

They're going by raw square Footage and number of visits by people attending conventions thats why.Arlington convention center can be busy 24/7 and still wouldnt amount to Dallas or even Ft.Worth for that matter...its just too small.
