For sure: Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Fort Worth, and El Paso.

Borderline major cities: Corpus Christi, Lubbock, and Amarillo.

In a national sense I would say: DFW, Houston, SA, Austin

Add El Paso, Corpus, Amarillo and Lubbock within Texas

Hey don't forget that twice a year Texas Motor Speedway becomes the 10th largest city in the state of Texas. It's the 2nd largest sports venue in the US and 3rd largest in the world.

Seriously, though, I'm with everyone else.

San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas are the Big 3 - followed by Austin, El Paso, and Fort Worth.

Arlington, Plano, and Garland are all bigger (population-wise) than Lubbock and Amarillo, but they get lost in the suburban melting pot that is DFW.
