Regardless, HtownLove, the population jumped from 2000 to 2012 by over 6 million people and the democrats only gained 90,000 votes in that time period.

In that time period, people were born, people died, and each year, a new group of 18 year old voters emerged.
The birth rate in Texas far outpace the death rate, I can post a breakdown of the stats when I get home if you like. Metros like Houston and dfw have 100k births per year but only about 40k deaths giving them a positive 60k natural increase a year.

Well, since you laid it out so well ... none! (Good one!)

Maybe so. But as previously pointed out, are not the more conservative people the ones leaving these states first?

I think it depends. Some are blue state refugees and others (like myself), kept my same left of center political beliefs upon moving to Texas.

I'd like to see it, I'm having trouble finding information on the total number of deaths per state per year.

please please dont go that way (blue)

with that said, I am from NY and consider myself as living
"behind the lines". All the social programs, all the "free" programs
the medical mandates have made life intolerable. Taxes are out of hand
Rules and regs abound, I gave up my boat when I had to constantly go
through "spot" safety checks to insure compliance by well meaning
newly equipped and manned patrol boats 24/7 during the warm days.
theres much much more.

So, I figured Virginia would be nice, I think we know what is happening there
so, I figured maybe N.Carolina, nope, their "new" liberal gov. (dem of course)
just started an anti- smoking campaign , folks BELIEVE ME this is just the
begining there. soon after a little more demonizing of smokers there, well,
we are just going to have raise taxes on those evil things (people?)
whether people should smoke or not IS NOT THE ISSUE
Certain folks are regularly seperated and sorted out, some demonized
some elevated
gay, folks special consideration
smokers? evil and we will stop you for your own good
Smoke pot? whats the problem?

I am about to move to Texas, I am watching carefully so as not
make a mistake. I know it is diverse and thats fine I just dont want to be legislated against in the minds of Liberals

Rant over

so, what everyone got out of that was my puncuation?
I also had no idea that the number of posts elevates the content of my
query. (see JJG's comment).

However, what worries me is that the form of my post elicits
critiques over my writing style over the content of my argument.
As originally stated, the thesis of this main posting was "Will Texas Turn Blue"
I felt just a little insight from "behind the lines" would be helpful
and perhaps give you some warning signs...or, is it already too late?
