What's the point in building such expensive pedestrian bridges if they can't be used by pedestrians? What is the plan to make them usable? Also, the amount the Margaret McDermott Bridge went over budget for a fake suspension bridge was ridiculous.

Yeah, you're right, so this can't really be included in a topic like this as being 'unique' to Dallas.

It's embarrassing that they are not usable as pedestrian bridges, but we all know the majority of money was spent just to have another matching, pretty bridge in the sky. If all we wanted was a pedestrian bridge, we could have gone a much cheaper route (one that would have likely been working by now), but the city wanted a 'signature' bridge that would add to our skyline and possibly even encourage more development on the other side (similar to how the MHH spurred development on the other side of that bridge).

My Wife(native Houstonian) swears Aunt Irene’s is the best seafood she’s had in Texas. And she’s a seafood foodie.

Shipley's is so overrated to me. Sorry, but I REALLY don't get the hype at all.

The three things I care most about that Houston has and Dallas doesn't is House of Pies, Frenchie's, and The Breakfast Klub.

That’s how I feel about Whataburger. Yes I said it. Shipley and Whataburger two overrated Texas chains. They’re good for what they are, one of the best Donuts and Burgers you can get for fast food chains. But mom and pop shops you can score better stuff.

You realize Dallas has Shipley too? The headquarters is just in Houston. That’s like saying Houston doesn’t have Whataburger because the headquarters is in San Antionio

This is SO worth repeating. It's why Dallas is more attractive city IMO. I wish San Antonio would start zoning.

You have to get them when they are hot and they do vary by location. The best location I have found is on Ella near 34th street. They will make them fresh for you any time of the day or night!
