The second list is the realistic stuff.....all of those proposals are just fluff to make the list up to look longer than it really is(quantity as usual) . Do you know how many cities have "Proposals" that wont ever get built?.........ALL OF THEM. You did a good job typing all of that though.....very impressed.

One would think you'd have the common sense to at least wait until Houston is no longer in last place in our division looking up at the Rangers and their injury depleted roster in the standings before crowing about being the new team of Texas.

But it won't matter either way. Neither of these teams are going to the playoffs this year. As of now they're both just fighting to not be last place in the division. It took the Rangers going to back-to-back world series to gain so many new fans. If you think Texas having an injury laced bad season is going to win you this state all while the Astros sit perpetually perched on their rightful seat of mediocrity, well, you're wrong.

The Dallas market can easily and successfully support both chains and local eateries.

Don't pretend Houston isn't drowning in chain restaurants and retail from one end to the other. No city is without them.

the second list is the "realistic stuff" just for Downtown, Uptown, and Greenway/UK. i just made another list right above my quote of your post for all the projects U/C.
and you want to hear about "quantity as usual"? "we have more miles of light rail lines".. "we have more convention goers visit our city".. "we have more travelers catching connecting flights at our airports"...
you are right, so what makes the list of proposals so wrong? feel free to list all the high-rise proposals in Dallas.. you will still fall way short.
and btw, i definitely didnt type all of that. i got the list from SSP.

To make a big deal of a "chain" with only 6 locations not being in any particular city is stretching. How many locations did the Alamo Draft house have in Houston and other places before it finally open a theater in DFW?

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've actually heard of the Alamo Drafthouse, what was that other place you guys were talking about?
