Congratulations about the A380, seriously. It's a wonderful airplane.

It's also nice that all the DFW spotters won't have to run to DFW everytime the Lufthansa flight to IAH gets diverted to see one anymore as well.

#1 Houston, TX - In Photos: Millionaire Cities - Forbes

i found this interesting.. a quote from after the Forbes list came out in 2006. it looks like Houston has added 3 billionaires in the last 8 years while Dallas has remained stagnant.
It's funny because even though Houston has nearly 100,000 millionaire households to DFW's 70,000, D Magazine is so blissfully ignorant (or willfully ignorant) that they would really waste journalistic resources to actually print the following story (old, but it wasn't true in 2008 either):

We

Another example of Dallas' well known penchant for journalistic dishonesty in the name of pumping Dallas up. Millionaire capital of the country??? BWAHAHAHAHAA...

Gotta love the DFW cheerleader media though - they'll make anything that's positive toward Dallas news and check the facts later (or never).

First of all this is a list of the supposed 400 richest people in America, there are billionaires that did not make this list because the list cuts off at about 1.5 billion. Also remember these are people who are publicly known to have these assets meaning these list are not all inclusive.

Christopher Helman who is a Forbes writer talks about how he believe3s there are quite a few "hidden billionaires" especially in Houston.

Houston: 131K

And no, again. This is news. Read the timestamp.
hahaha.. way to take the easy way out. i believe it is you who are blinded by the bias to not see that Houston has numerous walkable urban areas, many of which are near/next to each other in the core..

as someone else said, Midtown is probably about as large as most of the area you were referring to around West Village. throw in the urban 4th ward along with downtown and you easily have an area as big as the area you are describing in Dallas.

its news you say?

thats interesting, because this quote was dated the beginning of April, with the very same news...

here is a short picture article about Midtown. it does a better job at giving you an idea of the ambiance than any of our mediocre "its walkable!" descriptions.
