Shaft, shut yo mouth!

Hey I love Dallas and love to bash Houston but I did live there for a couple of year and it's in TEXAS. Stan, if you are getting a FREE HOUSE INSIDE THE LOOP, you need to move to Houston.

Something a lot of people don't understand - Central Dallas and Central Houston are worlds apart from our far-flung suburbs -- and most of them happen to be populated by foreigners (non-Texans) - so why do the suburbs seem to cause Texas to be known as redneck, stupid and conservative?

LOL...no, not jealousy. The people I hear trashing Texas dislike it because of Bush. That's about it really. Just my opinion.

the Houston bashing used to bother me but not so much anymore. Houston is not the only city that gets bashed a lot. Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Phoenix get bashed just as much. I think the people that like to overly boast about Houston are just as annoying as the one's bashing it.

Strange...I've grown up in NY my whole life, and I know tons of people who don't like Texas.

If I had a dime for every dumb and uninformed NYer I have met I would be a millionaire. I spent the first 17 years of my life in NY and if I listened to the ignorance of them I would have thought that Texas was a hole. Thankfully I am way more openminded than that. Houston and Texas are the best! I must add though that there are also many wonderful NYers, just not anyone you know obviously

There are always people who only think the place they grew up is the only place in the world. People i know, along with myself, don't think like that. Still not a big fan of that area. But everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Well people in NYC seem to be more uniformed compared to the rest of the world.
