Brother has a 4Runner and he feels exactly the same way.

Meanwhile I rented a Camry for 3 days and I could not wait to turn it in.

The most interesting cars I see are those stranded on the side of the road from mechanical failure. Rarely are those Toyotas.

I'm 6'6...this is what leg room looks like in my wife's 2009 Rav4 with the seat all the way back. Very limited knee room. Not comfortable on long drives. But I drove it cross country from OH to WA anyway. I found out seat bracket extensions were available....after that trip. Sure wish I knew about them before definitely would have made the investment.

Vs my Kia Forte hatchback which is much smaller but offers me much, much more room.

Head room is not an issue with either.

Yes, it certain seems a unicorn. My wife has a 2011 with a six speed manual, and that was the last year for them.

There are times when I would like my '12 Camry to be a stick...........then I get into the daily traffic here in Charlotte and I remeber being in 1st or 2nd most of the time in my old Jetta. Don't mind the auto in the everyday driver, now a '69 Camaro RS/SS manual as a weekender would be pretty sweet!
