Well, I headed for Las Vegas
Only made it out to Needles
But I've been to Oklahoma
Oh, they tell me I was born there
But I really don't remember
In Oklahoma, not Arizona
What does it matter?
What does it matter?
Spent a night in= 18 (ME, MA, CT, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, TN, LA, OH, IL, CA)
Stepped Foot in= 23+ DC (All of the above plus VT, RI, WV, DC, MS, IN; note that VT, MS, and IN were only for lunch/bathroom/gas breaks)
Driven in= 25+ DC (All of the above plus NH, AL)
29 states and DC(not sure if I can count Nebraska as 30, as I only stepped off an Amtrak train for a few moments to take a look at the Omaha station station years ago, en route to Denver), and 2 Canadian provinces(Ontario and Quebec).
Most states I've never been to are in the Northeast, Plains, or western half of the country. Would love to get to all 50(and heck, to see more Canadian provinces and finally some U.S. territories) one day, myself.
And screw it, I'll mention the ones I haven't gotten to:
HI, AK, WA, OR, CA, ID, NV, MT, WY, ND, SD, KS, OK, DE, NJ(ironic to think I took some great pics of its Hudson River shoreline from NYC museum The Cloisters), and all New England states excluding CT.
I believe I have been to (visited/lived in) 15 states plus the District of Columbia. Another 8 states I have stopped over for a few hours when flying to other destinations. As a child I lived overseas for many years so I have probably done more traveling outside the USA than within the USA.
I just realized a missed a few so I would say just under 20 having visited and over 10 having stopped over on the way to other destinations.
Lived in: Illinois, Tennessee Destination: Wisconsin, Indiana, Maryland, Florida, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Kentucky
Drove through/lunch/bathroom stop: Georgia, New Jersey, Michigan(briefly around the state line lol), Ohio, Alabama
This doesn't include states that I don't remember passing when I was 5 years old but the state that I did end up arriving at, which was Nevada.
