I'm surprises nobody mentioned Iceland, but then my family went to Europe in the early 60s and my mother figured out if was cheaper if you stopped in Iceland for a few hours. Then we flew on to Scotland, so two islands in a row. I was about 6 at the time.
I was born near the coast so I may have been on an island earlier, but not likely one without a bridge. Anyway Iceland is the first island I remember.
I've been to Catalina Island in CA so many times I've lost count. The first time, tho, was about 1958. Didn't go for many years, but started again when I got my second sailboat in 1985.
