I live in the most rugged, beautiful state of them all...Alaska! And yes, it is part of the US. I have heard people say that it is part of Canada and even worse, that it is an island. Tourists!

Alaska is one state I definitely want to visit one of these summers.
Utah for me with Colorado and Montana close behind.
Florida is dead last.
I can't speak about Florida, since I've never been there, but for geography and scenic beauty, I would have to say I like the entire western U.S. Killer's choices of Utah, Colorado, and Montana are all good ones, but to those, I would add, CA, AZ, NM, WY, ID, OR, and WA, at least.
Killer's location in Torrey, UT is a great one. That is one of the prettiest places I can think of in Utah, though most of the state is very beautiful, IMHO.
Florida hands down, I've lived in: NY PA FL TN CO CA GA and Oregon and it offers more than any place i've been....the only people that hate florida are the people that can't afford it.
I havent been to all 50 states yet, but the ones I have been to I loved them all so its hard for me to choose but I will choose California for choosing sake, loved LA, SD, SF, SJ, SB its just a crazy state.
