We don't even know if the murder weapon was a "hammer"
They also knew that the cameras didn't work on that side of the house, making the point of being in the house before that.
The only odd part ( so far) is that TS was playing in the yard with her kids one afternoon ( the week before the murder) and ]the neighbor said this was odd because she never got off work that early.
PD hasn't confirmed a hammer, that information coming from neighbors; along with the story, Sievers are living in the house (which the latest update discredits). TS and the children in the yard could be another one of those stories. Is the info coming from the same neighbor who claims she heard screams the morning of the murder, but failed in calling 911?
Agreed, indications point to the possibility the killer was in the home prior to day of murder.

It was her daughter that said that. (neighbors daughter)
She said she saw Mark Sievers playing in the yard with his children almost daily.Teresa Sievers usually came home from work late, she said. It was a rare moment then, last week, when Torres saw the mother of two playing with the garden hose in the front yard with her daughters, Josephine and Carmi, ages 11 and 8.
“I was nice to see that kind of bonding with her and the girls because she worked so much,” Torres said.

I just re-read this:
“Her kids play instruments beautifully, they’re avid readers, they’re in martial arts,” Tottenham said
Donetta Contreras is the women who reported hearing screams. Perhaps she should refuse interviews with reporters so her 8 yr old son can sleep at nite.
Amazing.
Now with this thing going on we don’t know any information,” Donetta Contrerars said. “Did they catch him? Is it an isolated incident? Or do we have a raving maniac on the loose?”
Thanks for the update, looks as though reporters were there today. Hope its a break in the case and not another Donetta Contreras breaking news story....the neighborhood Gladys Kravitz who never called 911, and she's worried about her safety and why the police haven't solved the case.
