Unbelievable! And a tragedy for those who died and the seriously wounded. Mass murder sends a message of stupidity. This does not help AZ look any better than the immigration debacle. Viva Mexico. I imagine this killer will get the death penalty. For that I luv ya Arizona.

I only heard, and I'm so sorry for this tragic event. A nine year old child died, and for what? Politics? I'm sad for the child's parents and for all of those affected by this tragedy.

I can't believe this tragedy. What would possess a 22 year old person to shoot US public officials and killing a nine year old in the process? I dont agree with giving this a guy the death sentence because firstly, two wrongs do not make things right and secondly, he should suffer in a jail cell and think about what he did for the rest of his miserable existence. It is because of people like this that there are so many stupid laws and I bet they will be more strict about gun laws in AZ following this tragedy.
Gifford's husband ( Mark Kelley ) is an astronaut. Both serving USA differently and admirably. Great family, great people and an asset to our society.
I hate this shooter with a passion.

This kid is a wannabe from the way it is sounding, with what they have found with the youtube, really strange, his myspace almost like a suicide note, but that would confirm it was planned...The judges office confirmed Giffords called him last night and asked him to be there...If she was shot first, he could have been random just because he was there, even with his past threats. It sounds like the military stopped his processing when it came to the psychological aspect. I don't think he had any intention of leaving there alive, and thank you to the people that stopped him before any more lives could be taken.
