Hey there Tucson,

Found this on Meetup.Com and am curious if this is something that people are getting more "into" as our political and economical situations change for better or worse.

http://www.meetup.com/AmericanCitizensTogether

I know we have a rising number of "preppers" around, and patriots have always been a large part of Tucson. Is this something worth pursuing in a town such as Tucson? Not to say I'm too cheap for the $5 donation to MeetUp, I just want to know what the general consensus is from "you guys".

Thank you

I have no idea about this meetup group specifically, but there are some very successful and highly attended prepper/survival groups on the Phoenix meetup page. Take a look.

If I read your link correctly, it's a brand new group (1 month old) with seven members.

It's probably worth checking out, if that's what you're into. Otherwise, no.

There's another "prepper" group in Tucson on Meetup with more members, Southern Arizona Preppers.

I would review comments of folks who post on meetup, their level of paranoia, their purposes for prepping. I'm very involved in prepping, but very careful who I associate with and who and what I listen to in those groups. A smaller group might be better for you, but check it out if you want options.

Some are good, others are fringe lunatics. Be careful.
