Really? Name someone from past seasons that didn't open it.
Probably always has been opened, but Portia even said she "knew" it was going to be something bad for her game and did it anyway to get the $$$ (and a measly 5K at that).
I'm sure most (if not all) the players would have done the same, but that doesn't mean that Portia isn't greedy and stupid.

Not sure how it really bad for her game.
She gives Kahlia 5K and safety for the week i.e. benefit. Worst case, Rachel or Adam(giving that Adam would put himself on the block) gets the veto (no way Jordan wins one) and Shelley goes home (which if happens, Big Brother should film her arrival to the jury house).
They finally showed what happened before the eviction last Thursday. Man Jeff acted like an entitled brat. He tried to bully Portia, when that apparently didn't work, then he bullied Adam and of course that worked, then he moved onto Shelley...That was hilarious when he made a snide comment about Shelley but then in a split second was begging for her forgiveness.
And is Rachel so dense that she actually cried over Jeff leaving after what he said about her....Really???
And Jordan, the blow up. Shelley should have mushed the twit in her face. I get being upset that she gave up her phone call, but again, did she forget how her man behaved? Did she forget it was a game? smh
I am glad we finally got to see what really happened. Now I understand Jeff's reaction. I think he was suprised and hurt. Of course, in the end, he did not handle it well but at least now I see WHY he acted like such a brat!
I really felt bad for Jordan. She was more upset that Manlley had turned on her than Jeff was leaving. Jordan isn't the smartest but she is the nicest and what she did for Manlley was because she is really a very caring person. She did it out of friendship but manlley was only playing the game. Shame on Manlley.
I'm glad to see that Jordan got it out and I'm glad to see that it upset Manlley. Even though Manlley came back and justified it by saying "it is the game", she was ashamed of what she had done. And she should have been.

It's actually very bad for Porsche's game, and in fact negates her entire power as HOH. She has to nominate a pair - and if one member of the pair wins the Veto, then both come down. So if she puts Jordan and Rachel up, and either one of them wins the Veto - then they both are safe, and Porsche has to put up Shelly and Adam, and she loses someone from her own alliance.
It's probably the very worst Padora's Box deal ever in the history of the show.

Shelley is a floater. Who is to say she doesn't move to the next best thing... Porshe is really only trusts Kahlia and vice versa.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head. It was bad move. IMO here's why:
Portia will nominate Rachel and Jordan. If either of them win the veto, both are safe and Portia will have to replace them with Shellhe and Adam.
They will then immediately scurry off to try and make a deal with R & J to stay in the house. If the deal includes safety for R & J next week (and the floater keeps their word) then the only person playing for HOH from Portia's posse is Cowlia. That gives Portia a 1 in 4 chance of a favorable HOH outcome. Even if the floater floats back to her side she still only has a 50/50 chance of a good outcome.
If she hadn't opened Pandora's box, Rachel would have been eliminated, Shellhe and Adam would have stayed floated to her side and Portia would have a 3 in 4 chance for a favorable HOH outcome.
At this point, if Rachel and Adam were the last two, I'd give the money to Rachel and I NEVER thought I'd say that! I give Rachel a bit of credit for taking care of Jordan and pulling her away when jordan was going off on Manlley.
If you watch BBAD, you see that BB really edits the show to make it seem the way they want it to seem. I know all shows do this so the reality shows aren't all reality. However, maybe Rachel isn't as bad as she comes across but BB editors make her seem so much worse than she really is.
Agreed UNC4Me! The only part where I differ slightly, is that I think Jordan will get voted out before Rachel. I think Kalia, Porsche, and Shelly are all very aware of the fact that none of them can beat Jordan in the final two.
