TY, say! I had heard of the superstition of your heart stopping when you sneeze so people would say Gesundheit to ward off any evil spirits that may get into you in that nano-second that your heart was stopped.

The Bubonic Plague theory seems pretty credible.

Oh no! I don't want Pan Am cancelled!

Asked a stewardess for American Airlines that came into work today if she watches Pan Am. She said "NO!!! I do that for work, why would I want to go home and watch that?"
The woman came in again Thursday and I told her about posting our convo on here and she said she would check it out just for the heck of it! LMAO, I got her curiosity going!

It's been running a poor third behind 'Castle' & 'Hawaii Five-O' in it's timeslot, and the ratings have steadily declined.

One huge problem from a reality standpoint is the actor playing the captain; where's his grey hair?

If I had wanted an historically accurate show I would tune into The History Channel. For entertainment, and success, this show needs to step it up or the actors can get in the soup line.

We all come to shows from our own different perspectives and perhaps this is why this one doesn't work for me. My FIL was an airline captain for TWA after his military career (Korea and 'Nam) and my ex husband is also an airline captain so I have lived in the airline world. I just think that some of the stuff could have been better on this tv show. We all know that the spy stuff was done (and is still done) but on the show it could have been better written imho. The storylines on the show could have been more fluid. I don't know, it just has me reaching too much. When I think of another show like Revenge that has just capitivated me I just think I am having to work too hard to like this one. I can definitely see why it may be on the chopping block soon.

I hope it doesn't get cancelled. I still love the clothes, glamour and music. Not the best show on tv, but hardly the worst.

Well, I'm watching it! Not that advertisers care what people over the age of 60 watch!

Unfortunately the ratings keep dropping.
There is way too much competition on Sunday nights...that's my problem. I can't DVR everything...so have to rely on onDemand. I would like to have seen Pan Am make it, but it seems pretty unlikely.

This is one of my pet peeves, even with a DVR. I don't see why the networks can't run the show more than once a week. There is so much down time and paid programming, they could easily run it a few more times to give folks the chance to watch or record it. The premium channels do this very successfully.
