I'm inclined to think they didn't think out the show past the who shot JR, I mean past the who was the body on the beach episode. Seems more like, it was suppose to be a one season show but because it became so popular, they wanted to stretch out the story and now they've wrecked it. Instead of the whole revenge theme, it became more about the body and now, for me, I have that answer, everything else feels uninteresting. You know like, you've had the big O, now you just rather sleep. That desperation to get there, has left the building.
I don't think I've ever watched a series show that takes a break and then comes back with a 1-hour recap on all previous shows before continuing....

You know...I don't think I have either! Very interesting. I guess the producer's figured they might can lure in new viewers who might have heard about the show and just started to watch to play catch up and also for viewers like me who seem to have a memory problem when it comes to shows taking LONG, LONG breaks and constantly doing re-runs. I'm anticipating some action on tonight's episode or least some progress with some of these loose ends.
I don't want to say the show has jumped the shark but something seems to be missing since the return. I can't put my finger on it and I am not a good critic of writing or plot but the original sharp edge the show had just seems off to me. I'll keep watching for now, but I hope the last couple of eps of the year regain the magic.
There is an interesting picture from the May 11, 2012 (pg. 42) issue of Entertainment Weekly of Nolan and Emily together. The season finale better not disappoint me.
So it seems Emily's father is still alive if I'm not mistaken. Just some comment he made about pulling a what was name of Nolan's aunt. He said something about pulling one of those, I took it to mean he was going to fake his death, no?
I did enjoy this past episode a bit more.
