Maybe it's me (and I admit I am not a big fan of comic book type action), but the whole scene in the fighting pit was much too "campy" for me. First of all, if the Harpy's wanted to kill Dany, why did they not sent a few of those spears in her direction. And the dragon showing up just in time????
I think I would have been just as happy with the scene if Dany had spun around and used her "magic lasso".
I thought at the time, and I still think, that Dany "called" Drogon without even actually knowing it. She looked upward, closed her eyes, and Drogon appeared. There's a lot more to her interaction with the dragons than she realizes, I think.

Well I think the show will follow the books in at last one death (or apperance of) tonight...with cliffhanger. It will be interesting to see what else will happen...I'm guessing the thing with Cersei in the books will also be included. They may skip Mereen and the Stannis/Bolton story other than.......
Spoiler
having Brienne replace Mance as the one who causes chaos at Winterfell, possibly with Theon still helping Sansa escape
Well "Dead Franken-Mountain Walking" came back. Why not John Snow ?
Can you just picture High Sparrow's drones with their clubs, fighting the
Mountain in Season 6 ? So long Bird Man............

Ended up (more-or-less) where the last of the existing books ended up. We book readers knew about Jon's situation and were expecting same. It was still very upsetting.
The "walk of shame" was pretty much like I imaged from the book. The only major difference was that in the book she was shaved entirely.
Now that we seem to beyond the books, it's going to seem like an extra long wait for the next season (unless we get surprised by a new book before).
