The red witch helped the boltons....she is very much part of that.... I savor the moment when he does her justice. Now that the books are over and we are in equal footing it will be a series independent and wow factors for both sides.
I was wondering that myself. On the director's cut, they said it was to leave a trail for anyone who came looking for her. In reality, I doubt anyone would find that small ring in that huge field unless they were seriously combing the place for it, but hey, this isn't reality.
