I agree with you on a lot of your points. It IS missing something. For me it could easily be a "bad guy of the week" show but it needs an over-arching storyline. It needs a bad guy they are hunting while catching these cases each week.
Bad guy - I can not think of his name right now but he's played a bad guy on tv's soap, Y&R (Ian?)
and Law and Order. A lot will recognize him and know that he generally plays a bad guy so producers won't need more than one or two shows to build on. He's like a bad penny. Keeps showing up
We're enjoying the show a lot more than I thought we would, but I had low expectations going in. Still, it is solid in production values and story telling - and it has a good cast.
But all that tells me is high budget. It will need to keep stellar ratings or they'll either cancel it or slash the budget.
I'm really enjoying this show. The last episode was fun watching Ted Levine as Murtaugh's Training Officer. I'll never forget his voice..."She puts the lotion on her skin...."
I came late to this one. Watched the pilot online yesterday then last night's new epi. I'm enjoying it greatly. Enough that I have the movies on my list to borrow from the library to watch on DVD.
I'm off now to watch episode 2 online to start catching up.
Somehow, this show fell off my radar. Maybe I'll catch up over the summer. Is it getting a Season 2?
No official word yet but it received its pick up for a full season back in October
