Will be recording it and watching tomorrow when I'm more awake. Haven't gotten enough sleep lately so this and the BB finale will need to wait until tomorrow. Looking forward to watching a new season.
I caught some of the premier. Man, that Vietnamese female MMA fighter looks strong as heck. Can’t believe she’s a “David.” She looks like she could take any of the cast out, lol. It was cool to see the Robotics engineer underestimated and shock everyone with that opening challenge win.
Overall, that first episode was really good. I love the 90 minute premiere. The editing was fantastic, especially at the beginning. We see the heroic Goliath tribe get onto the boat. Then a bit more wimpy music starts and a few arms flail up over the side of the boat for the David tribe. And going into the first commercial, I had just mentioned to my wife that I wondered if Christian would get himself in trouble talking too much. And then they show a montage of him just going on... and on... and on. As the camera pulls back from the island, the music starts. He's still talking and we cut to commercial. So freakin' priceless.
I have to wonder about the boat ride. It really sucks having a player taken out by something that has nothing to do with the game. Entertainment Weekly mentioned a cyclone was passing by. Thus all the storms and heavy rain. Should the boat have waited to take them back? Did the seas get rough as they were already underway? Who knows. I feel Pat may be back in a future season.
