This is not a mystery per se
It is a Jane Austin social commentary about the intertwined lives of people in a small community with years and layers of conflict, secrets, loves and hates
A microcosm of American life in the time of angst

What’s with the annoying, distracting vaping she does? No one over the age of stupid does that in real life.

All I do is laugh at all her lines. They're so funny! Her delivery's so, "Scr*w everybody."

"You're not gettin laid tonight."
-Ma, drinking Manhattans with Father Dan is not helpin out!
-Is there anybody you're not related to?
No.
-We're having a family meeting.
What the hell's that?
I'm really enjoying the show and it has so many twists.
And a lot of stupid people. I think its a riot..apart from the real tragedies. And this was before seeing the SNL skit:

I agree that the humor is there
And Jean Smart is such an underrated performer.
She is going to be in new HBO series too
I think The trailer for next episode is upping the violence

I haven't started watching the show yet, but loved the SNL skit, as do my Delco friends. Question about the skit - was Elon supposed to be Father Brown or is there a character in the show that I don't know about?

Being a Delco native, I cannot comment on the accent. What accent? I don't hear an accent.

Wow, am I ever glad I am watching this show ---I was floored in Episode 5!!
And Jean Smart didn't disappoint with comic relief!
Great plot twists starting only 2 episodes left.

Rest in peace
Phyllis Sommerville Will miss her, big time! (The long, gray haired actress, Carol.)

Agree. Absolutely amazing episode. This show is a slow burn, but dang, it is good.

Two eps left.

PS: Phyllis Sommerville - will always remember her from The Big C. She played an iconic character.
