I completely agree with you. Discussing the episodes that have aired, what may come, etc. is totally fine. But posting about things that are in the books that have yet to happen in the show is just not cool. Aren't there spoiler tags available here for this very reason?
Reminds me of an episode of the Big Bang Theory when Sheldon mentions to Raj: "In the book this movie is based on, that man is the killer."
So far my wife and I have dubbed the show "Not Game of Thrones".
Good enough to watch but not as good as GOT.
Of course its early and maybe it will grow on use.
a bit after we watched Downton Abbey we watched The Forsyte Saga. That never stopped being "Not Downton Abbey"
Really good analysis! It goes without saying that GOT is in a class all by itself. As far as I’m concerned, nothing can compare. That’s why I’m resigned to believe that House of Dragons is just “a different type of show.” Initially, I wasn’t even going to watch it, but so far I’m pleasantly surprised. I look forward to each week
One more thing . . . My husband is so funny. He watched GOT here and there, never really got into it. Now he’s watching House of the Dragons with me and keeps asking if Rhaenyra is Daenerys. I’m giving up on trying to explain. At this point I’m going to just say yes, they are the same person!

She is her great great whatever grandmother I guess
Why does he talk so fast????
His analysis goes by like a machine gun…but it is spot on
I rewatched E1 and 2 of GoT after seeing HoD and everything he mentioned is spot on!
And frankly that is why HoD is less savory than GoT
We knew with GoT we were in for the long haul—but this HoD storyline already seems compartmentalized and truncated
She is her great great whatever grandmother I guess
Close!
Rhaenyra is the great great great great great great grandmother of Daenerys... eight generations separate them.
