One of the similarities I see in both Larry David and the George character is that no matter what either does they end up in getting themselves in deeper. For example, Kramer gets himself into all kinds of situations but most of the time he fares better than George. I believe Larry David that about 50% of the George character is based on himself.
It's the syndicated Curb. I forgot about those old shows!!!! To hear them bleeped makes them even more funny. I find the discussion group afterwards really stupid though.
The sixth season of critical darling Curb Your Enthusiasm Seasons 1-6 DVD Boxset delivers the same Larry David and his life of absurd self-sabotage that
has entertained viewers for nearly a decade. With an almost reality-TV improv feel, Curb follows the Seinfeld co-creator through his miseries and mishaps
brought about by his George Costanza-like neuroses and over analysis of everyday situations. As with previous years, Season 6 of Curb Your Enthusiasm is
tied together by a single overarching plot. In the first episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm Seasons 1-6, Larry's wife convinces him to take in a family
displaced by a recent hurricane. The Black Family (whose name mirrors their race, a joke not lost on Larry) work their way into each episode of Curb Your
Enthusiasm Seasons 1-6, as either an extra source of frustration for our perpetually exasperated hero or as a source for an alternative perspective when providing Larry with advice. In another example of art imitating life, a second extended plot develops involving the breakdown of Larry's marriage, just as he is going through divorce proceedings in real life. Cheryl's character doesn't seem as important in Season 6 of Curb Your Enthusiasm Seasons 1-6 DVD
Boxset, also possibly the product of Larry's real life matrimonial problems. His frustrations with Cheryl take a meaner, more mocking tone (her absurd reaction to Larry and the Blacks desire to use non-recycled toilet paper being the best example). Larry's real life soon-to-be former wife is a champion of
environmental and other causes, a trait she shares with Cheryl and one that Season Six paints as na?ve and misguided. Season 6 of Curb Your Enthusiasm dvd boxset adds Lucy Lawless, Senator Barbara Boxer and John McEnroe in small parts as themselves, each bravely portraying an exaggerated and ridiculous version of who they really are, but one that fits perfectly with Larry David's view of the world...and one that echoes the spirit of this irresistible show how-i-met-your-mother-seasons-15-dvd gossip-girl-seasons-13-dvd curb-your-enthusiasm-seasons-17-dvd
LARRY DAVID'S eye-poppingly brash behavior on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is now worthy of debate.
That's how the TV Guide Network sees it, adding a celebrity panel discussion to its encore airing of the HBO comedy (10 p.m. Wednesday) with episode
No. 1 from October 2008.
David Mandel, one of the executive producers of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," offered a tongue-in-cheek rationale.
"We're treating it like sacred text," he said. "There is a great tradition among the Jewish peoples, of which I count myself, that you have text and you spend
the rest of your life debating the text."
The "wise men" (as Mandel dubs them, women included) brought in for the task include Jon Hamm and Jerry Seinfeld, guided by "Curb" cast member
Susie Essman, who proves an adroit moderator.
"We all have social mores we live by, and Larry just throws it into the wind. He doesn't care about that stuff," Essman said.
A markedly agreeable David lauded the network's decision to expand his 30-minute sitcom into an hour's worth of programming by adding the panels, but
the "Seinfeld" co-creator professed surprise at some interpretations of his "Curb" alter ego's behavior. The discussions were pre-taped for broadcast.
The second-episode panel "started to get into a discussion about how I was after Mary Steenburgen, that I wanted to have an affair with her," David said. "I love Mary and, yes, in life I would go after her and take her

The show is set in Santa Monica, David’s real place of residence, and centers around Larry’s experiences as a semi-retired famous television producer.
Although Larry maintains an office he is rarely shown working, other than in season four which centered around his being cast as Max Bialystock in the Mel
Brooks play The Producers. Most of the show revolves around Larry’s interactions with his friends and neighbors. The fictional Larry David is something
of a misanthrope, often making inappropriate comments and getting offended or angry when others fail to adhere to his often arbitrary standards of behavior.
Despite Larry’s often offensive behavior and sometimes wildly inappropriate adventures, few of his friends seem to remain offended for long and the cast
Its very funny. Did you see the episode with Wanda's boyfriend . the rapper. He teaches Larry his new new song. Its absolutely hilarious.
