At this point, I don't think Walt has a snowball's chance in hell of getting into Witness Protection. I'm betting his assumed identity in New Hampshire is from Saul's guy.
It's also New Hampshire's nickname which is where's Walt's false ID said he lived. I think that is the episode where we find out how/why Walt goes into hiding.
I don't see how much Gomez is being dragged along, this is the first episode where he has been clued in. He has respect for Hank and more importantly will stick with his former partner, I think. You don't just give up immediately.
Speaking of Gomie, I have grave concerns for his safety. He is really the only threat to Walt that is not protected by Walt's "family" rule. I wonder if that is the job for Todd's uncle?
"Pancho Villa, Salma Hayek. Pancho Villa, Salma Hayek. You gettin' that?" "Loud and clear, idiota."

Agree
Good or bad something is going to happen with Gomie. He's been personally unaffected by all of this so far.
