Maybe I'm forgetting something, but why didn't Sookie just tell everyone that she shot Debbie in the first place? It was self defense so she likely wouldn't get in trouble over it. I know they're concerned about protecting Tara but I'm not sure that makes a difference either.

Because it "adds" drama. If you as me, it just confirms that Sookie isn't the brightest crayon in the crayon box.
I am finding it so odd to hear this big head vampire going on about how the vamps shouldnt be looking at the humans as just food and should remember that they were human once! Most of the blood-suckers we have met on the show have no regard for human life at all! So this is a refreshing new attitude.

Like Tara said, everyone seems to keep taking a bullet for Sookie. Lafayette let her have it too. And I'm with them. I'm tired of Sookie constantly being connected to all these people dying and no one blinks an eye. I'm a bit over the Sookie and the Fairies bit. I'm interested in seeing how Pam will evolve as a maker. I felt sad for her being released but I get all warm and fuzzy when I see Eric's soft side...

I couldn't agree more. Sookie is like Tara. I could care less about her and wish she weren't a main (or THE main) character. I get tired of this girl jumping from vamp, vamp, wolf, shifter (whenever she has a problem she goes to Sam). And none of these guys say no to her!

Lafayette's tirade about her leaving this trail of dead bodies behind her reminded me of, strangely enough, several characters who have called out "The Doctor" (the lead character on Doctor Who) for the same sort of behavior. Both he and Sookie are depicted as big-hearted, heroic, and a bit over-the-top in terms of being a "force for Good"....but like The Doctor, Sookie tends to turn everyone around her into weapons to use against her enemies. In other words, both characters are surrounded by people who would kill for them, compromising their own "goodness," all while Sookie and The Doc keep their hands clean and act as if all that death and destruction is abhorent to them.

If he isn't careful, Lafayette will be doing the same thing.
Terry's story arc reminds me of a show called 'The Walking Dead', the biggest correlation and contention I have is that the story moves in iceberg pace ... I want to gouge my eyes out and rip off my ears -- I can't take it anymore. Let's click our ruby red heels three times to wish it away, shall we?
The actor playing Tara playing vampire, is it me or does she deliver her lines robotically? Anywho, more Pam please!

Agree with your entire post.
Yes, I noticed the difference in Rutina Wesley's delivery. I thought it was just me.
I have tried to watch this episode twice and I have fallen alseep. I remember the days when this show was Must See TV.
