I don't understand the Daphne thing, she has those scars on her back and Maryann can turn Sam (I never liked Maryann either) into a dog anytime she wants...so is Daphne really some sort of creature of Maranne's and she's trying to gain control over Sam? (Nothing like this in the books so).
I'm a Sam fan, I would hate him to get his heart broken.
Godric - I didn't think he's hot (and not as important as all the comments on it all the time, I feel like I'm reading Teen Beat here FCOL) and its been awhile so maybe it was a different Dallas vamp but in the books isn't he some sort of real geek?
I like the Lafayette writing - having that happen to you would not be something that you just bounce back from in fact I would expect that with most people it could cause signifcant PTSD type personality changes for years. Writing it that way shows how smart he is, and how much a survivor he is. He didn't neglect his make up though
I think the Maryanne thing is making Tara look really human, you can see why she'd be susceptible to the lines Maryanne feeds her - but the Maryanne acting as Gran and Tara totally sucked in by it was a bit of misstep I think, even after a bad night it makes Tara look sort of stupid and pathetic when you'd expect her to get even more pumped up and vocal.
I found myself getting irritated by the demonstrativeness of the Vamps as a whole. In the first year Bill kept going on about how they didn't have emotions etc. and its been so hard to find his humanity - now here Eric and the Dallas vamps are emoting and fighting like they were on a daytime soap. Yuck. I don't want this to become an HBO soft core porn soap opera.

The Preacher's Wife as a vamp - that would be hilarious - especially if you think some of the human personality might stay a little fixed after the transformation - she'd be a prissy christian vamp who likes it sexy
Of course begs the whole Blade sort of question - would a ant-vamp human turned vamp become a vamp hunter?

That was great -- they also used "God Blessed Texas" for that football game.

Yes, yes, yes, preacher's wife would be the perfect vamp -- think how great it would be if her fangs sprung out on her preacher hubby!

After Eric "cured" Lafayette, is he now a vampire with Eric the maker? I like the old Lafayette, not the new docile one. IMHO, if Lafayette is a vampire, I see Jason having to make the decision whether or not to kill him.
I think Lafayette is docile for now, He'll be even more interesting hopefully

The dark gothic makeup was a trip, never seen it on a black person before lol
