I would have preferred the brothers to win over Megan/Shane. I didn't like them, but they were at least entertaining. TAR needs to stop casting these boring, perfect-looking teams; Megan/Shane seem like a clone of Nick/Starr to me.

I myself was very happy to see Megan and Company cross the line first - she was quite the competitor. What a sissy coming down that building with his eyes closed.

So what are we going to do with Sunday Nights now?

I forgot to mention that I really missed having the final challenge be the memory test. The rappelling (sp?) was relatively drama-free, unlike the Cirque one and the counting of casino chips. However, my favorites have always been those "solve the puzzles, remember the countries and put them in order"-type of challenge for the final 3. I wonder if we would have had the same winners.

I think the outcome would have been the same. Meghan and Cheyne might not have been the most book-smart of the final racers, but they were very good at staying calm and making steady progress toward their goal under stressful conditions. I think Brian would have done reasonably well on a memory challenge, but the brothers would have had another screaming melt-down at each other and bled way too much time compared to the other teams.

That's why Megan and Cheyne were an excellent team. They worked as one. They spent very little time whining that they couldn't do it and spent the maximum time actually doing it. When things went wrong, instead of bawling and cussing each other, they persevered. They had some mistakes like anyone else, but on TAR the question is whether a team recovers from the mistake or compounds it. Ericka was the perfect mistake-compounder, which is a problem when you make them as often as she did. The gay brothers were absolutely guaranteed to degenerate into recriminations the minute things got tough. Flight Time and Big Easy were the only team whose cooperation, mutual support and attitude were better than Megan and Cheyne's, and if they hadn't been tripped up by a five-letter word beginning with F, they'd have come in second at least.

I was pretty happy with the outcome. as long as the brothers didn't win, i didn't care who won! Frankly after erikas little act at the cirque challenge, i was glad she didn't win either. her husband has the patience of a saint.

Hate to say it but I agree!

I kept thinking to myself "How did this shrill and '-'itchy woman win the crown of Miss America?"

Her husband was such a nice (and patient) guy to deal with her complaining, snapping and whining. I had to turn away during her Cirque du Soleil meltdown.

I hope that after watching this Erica realizes her hissy fits are what kept them from winning time and time again and that her racist family realizes that they are damn lucky that any man regardless of race was willing to marry her. God, can anyone imagine her in labor .
I know. Can you imagine what the poor doctor and nurses will have to deal with?
She was incredibly snappish and whiny. I cannot imagine being married to her. He really must love her a lot to put up with that. And I was kind of put off by her dismissing him and shushing him at the finish line when he got all teary. I guess it was because she wanted to say what she was ready to say and she didn't want him to get her more emotional. That's my charitable explanation for it but still it came off like her being bossy again. They had such a good chance of winning IF she had only reined in her inner diva tendencies. I was hoping they would win. For me, it was anyone but team brothers.

I agree. I don't know Cheyne could have won TAR with another woman as his companion. Meghan was a huge part of their victory.

The cute brother - Sam - couldn't even pronounce Monaco. Did anyone catch that? He said it like moan-uh-ko. LOL! And he wants to be a doctor. You could totally tell he was disappointed they lost. The look on his face when they got to the finish line was so clear.

So glad Meghan and Cheyne won. When they started running down the road towards the finish line, I heaved a huge sigh of relief. What made them a great team is that 99% of the time, they were calm, cool and collected. With the exception of the hay bales, they were very methodical about their tasks, didn't scream at each other while they were doing the tasks, and were able to stay focused and not worry about the teams around them. I don't think they ever got a challenge wrong...she got "Franz" the first time, didn't have to recount poker chips, didn't have to count the bells over and over again, didn't break the arm of the statue, kept chugging along at the volleyball-in-the-mud challenge, etc.

The brothers, not surprisingly, started yelling at each other and MY FAVORITE PART OF ALL...Karma reared her ugly head and gave them a crappy cab driver after they stole the cab in Prague. Awesome.

Finally, Brian and Ericka. Before the show started, I didn't care who won as long as it wasn't the brothers, but she fell to the bottom after watching her hissy fits. Good lord. And did anyone else get the sense from her speech at the end that her family thinks that Brian isn't good enough for her? I understood the part about their racial differences but I couldn't help but wonder if her family would realize after watching the show what a shrill, impatient, princess she is and that they should be thanking their lucky stars that a nice, quiet, humble guy like Brian is willing to take on such a person. She is lucky to have him...not the other way around...and no amount of Miss America crowns can negate her horrid attitude.
