I didn't think his sitcom was intended to insult white people. I thought that it was focused on a middle class Latino family and their experiences, day to day to lives, work, relationships, etc etc....
I thought it was very well written and something that had never really been seen on television before. At least for me it was refreshing to see that Latinos could be portrayed as hardworking, married, middle class.....instead of the usual gang banger, drug dealer, pregnant teen.

Lighten up, you Francises of the world. He makes jokes about Latinos, Blacks, etc. His original show doesn't just make fun of White people. Whether or not you think it is funny is another matter.

I watched last night and enjoyed the show, especially Marc Anthony. That guy rocks and one does not normally see him on TV. Perhaps we'll see more folks not normally on the tube

All in the Family was intended to ridicule bigotry. The same is not true of Lopez's show.

Actually, quite a few people did complain. There is definitely a double standard these days, though. Lopez can make jokes about white people but if the situation is reversed you are probably looking at a boycott.

All I know is the wife on that show was HOT!!!

I could never sit through his family show...just found it annoying.
I just don't think the guy is funny. I don't care who he makes jokes about. 90% of programs that are 'comedies' are just stupid. I rarely watch network tv anymore.

Where are the days of Seinfeld and Roseanne?

This only perpetuates the stereotype that George Lopez is funny.
