I've seen that thing he calls a show. What a raging racist motherfu__cker. If he wasn't a Latino who leaned how to exploit his own race he'd be making $20k/year at a Citgo.
His monologue is not funny and he seems to depend on ethnic humor style comedy EVERY night. Nothing wrong with ethnic humor but he over does it and it's dumb.
It appears as if he's trying really hard and it's a very manufactured show. Look at the old Carson reruns and his show was smooth, nothing forced or over the top. Even David Letterman has a natural flowing show.
He has okay guests but his show is nothing original.
I loved the old George Lopez show (the situation comedy) and I thought he would have a great tonight show but was I ever disappointed You are right too much ethnic humor syle. A little goes a long way. I personally don't care for his new show I think you expressed it quite well "too forced". I don't think it will last too much longer.
I love it! But then again I am Mexican so I "get" his humor. It's sort of like hanging out with my family! Laughing and cutting' up and making faces. I think he needs to polish up his interviewing skills. I don't see him going anywhere anytime soon. I predict his show will have staying power.

I think Lopez is very talented, his 2 appearances on Reno 911 playing the mayor are hilarious. But his anger/hatred towards gringos is over the top. He talks like Mexicans should get reparations from the American Gov't!
If so, half the world should get reparations from us!

That is just his humor. I think some of his bits are funny but don't get a lot of the jokes. I wondered what the deal was with him making faces, I guess that is done in Mexican families?
