I liked it but George needs to polish it up a little more. The monologue was not that funny. I've seen his stand up shows before and this was the same material. I love G-Lo though I have his show set up to record every night. I loved Santana at the end.
If George Lopez were half as funny as he thinks he is...he still wouldn't be funny. His other show is downright offensive with the terrible acting. The entire cast is awful.
It looks interesting. I heard this piece about Lopez and Wanda Sykes launching their new late night shows on NPR yesterday.
"Both shows are staking a claim on territory dominated by familiar white men: Leno, Letterman, Conan. Add in Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon and Craig Ferguson, and you have yourself a lot of white guys in suit jackets cracking jokes and interviewing celebrities after the kids go to bed."
I liked it. I dont think he can go quite as far as he does in his standup on his late nite show, but its not as watered down as the television show was. I have seen him live twice, saw him do his thing for the HBO special. I am watching tonite too and I think it will only get better.....

I didn't know his other show was intended to be comedic. I thought it was just intended to insult White people with disparaging comments.
Well the tables have turned on tv, remember Archie Bunker? No one complained back then when he called ethnic people every racial slur in the book. And by the way, I think All in the Family is still a very funny show, and I'm Mexican!
