Yes just like they support any thing else that's new to Tyler. The same way you support that mexican restaurant you talked about when I posted it on here.

I agree that’s a lot of sporting goods stores for a city this size, but there seem to be a sizable number of active folks in Tyler, so maybe it’ll work.

Then again, I wonder how many of them are still angry at Dick’s over the AR15 thing.

The one that had to leave Times Square when the Grand Slam was built.

Time will tell, who stays and who closes, if any, just saying.
Dicks and Academy are different from Gander. Do they sell weights, footballs, basketballs, and etc at Gander? No they do not. You have your answer right there.

What?

This is nothing personal, and just because something is new in Tyler, doesn't mean it will go over. I could make a list a mile long of new ventures in Tyler that failed.

LOL my husband is! But his patronage, or the lack thereof, won't make a difference - it would have to be cumulative.

My Pa is too. I’m a gun enthusiast but I couldn’t care less about ARs. Kind of an academic observation for me

That's pretty much how I feel. But with all my kids grown, and not being big into sports, I doubt I'll even have a reason to go into Dick's anyway. I mean, I go into Academy about twice a year.

Dick's has actually removed ALL guns and ammo from 125 of it's stores.

My best friend says he won't walk through the doors of Dick's nor The Twisted Root Burger Company in "the mall" that you can't bring in a gun, whatever that is called. I don't carry?
