Replied to questionnaire with a lot of help from Chyvan, submitted online, UI claim was approved in couple days after that. Got call from Rep's office that UI claim is approved. The online status also reflected the approved status. Retroactive payment was made for all weeks claimed so far. Since this was the first check of UI, it was sent to claimant via mail, from now on, any qualifying weeks are being paid via direct deposit.
Roughly took 14 weeks from start to finish for the UI claim to get approved.
BIG thanks to Chyvan and others who shared their thoughts, suggestions and helped in getting it to its logical conclusion.
I will add more after I collect my thoughts about what I learned from the experience. I think it's very important for any future UI filers to become very familiar with the nuances as it makes a huge difference.
Once again thank you for staying along for the ride. Have no idea but MA is painfully slow..it shouldn;t be like that but it's what it's. I'm not sure if I had not involved State Rep's office, it would've been still sitting in the queue without making any progress.
I didn't call UI office once during all this, did everything online and I knew it's best to minimize contact with UI folks unless absolutely necessary for the fear of saying something that can then be used against you or making an honest mistake only to ruin the chances of getting UI claim approved.
