For anyone on PEUC, how long did it take for you to receive your payment after you certified for the first time on PEUC? And can you list your state too? Thank you!

I believe you were supposed to be in Phase 2 (notified in July), but it sounds like you've already been notified. Will PEUC definitely retro even if it's filed in July? I have a friend who just saw the notice in their EDD online (their claim expired in 2019) & will file a claim, but I'm unsure if PEUC will be retro paid. They had no idea they would even qualify.

Wow. that's hopeful. maybe states are actually reviewing the older exhausters. Been 5 weeks and no notification for me in NJ yet. PEUC is paid retro back to week ending 4/4/20. That will be a nice unexpected chunk for your friend plus the $600 in addition.

Yes, I was in Phase 2 so was expecting it would happen in July, but then ended up getting it early. Yes, it's all retro. It's all backpaid including the extra $600. So I certified for almost all my back weeks in one day.

Good luck to your friend.

That's good to know, thank you.

Did you have to file a new claim? The notice in their edd online says to file a new claim so they can determine if there's a valid new claim (which I believe would not be the case for them)---should they wait or file a new claim per the screen note? They haven't received any letters in the mail, just the notification in EDD online.

I filed a new claim the day after my old claim ended. Phase 2 people were told by CA EDD to file new claim because they have to first check to see if you would quality for a new regular UI claim before they can put you on PEUC.
