Here in nevada I got a form on the 9th to reopen my claim. I heard they were only sent out as a precaution, not everyone that got the form will qualify. Supposedly we are still waiting for the Department of Labor to determine elgiibility dates. Does that sound about right?

First of all thanks Taurus! And njgal13 I wouldn"t stress too much this weekend..

***** But the mantra on here is "when in doubt-- go down to your local office or call" WISE WORDS ) *****

I exhausted all benefits (eb) mid-september and have continued to receive the job search form. Although I never mailed in (I posted this before several xs). I kept good records... I've also called in consistently, (could that be why I kept getting form? SPECULATION and more speculation although I've heard it might delay my payment when they begin again.....the recording says I'm rec'v credit for week claim
***** We KNOW for a fact that there will NOT be a retroactive payment so please no one worry or get excited ****
also, many of us got that first Nov 9th "obama signed legislation" letter without calling in - to 'stay in system.. So as for the benefits of calling in:....prob none, if anyone know please fill me in and as for mailing in the job search as far as I'm concerned has not affected me yet. My determinations have always been exactly the same $. Good luck ALL!!

Pardon me please: You can call in (although I do believe I read on here that you're 'locked' out online). I've read this "may" cause a possbile delay - still call- and I still never read an official nor authentic source for this info---fact??... But "knocked out"..please, back this up with fact source (otherwise it is merely speculation)! I appreciate it, thank you..
Good Luck ALL!

I received my final full EB check today. I have to claim my last tiny amount of $144 this Wednesday. I had to mail only 1 week worth of searches on my yellow form, so 3 searches only. It was supposed to be mailed Friday (yesterday) but I just got it today.

I also received that letter saying that Corzine is urgging Obama and Congress to provide additional weeks of unemployment benefits along with that paper from the department of human services. This seperate letter is also dated November 2, 2009 before these new weeks of benefits passed.

Maybe mails are slow or they were holding off on this letter until my EB was about to end.

Just figured I'd share.
