Of course, the fundamentalist view of the the gray bearded man in the sky is equally absurd. I have no doubt that evolution is factual, but the idea that life started and evolved into sentient beings who produce art, music, philosophy, and literature seems far fetched to me without some sort of guiding creative principle or impulse. And whatever that impulse is, I call it God.
So you believe in evolution and god? Interesting...I happen to believe 100% in science. When and if it can prove "god" exists then I will change my mind...god sure didn't help my cousin who was 28 years old when some moron hit him on his motorcycle...he let him die and left his 7 daughters without a father...

How you equate the comments here with a belief in Scientology is beyond me. LOL.

I think the debate here, if there is one is over "what god is".

Some define god as love and this is evidenced all around. Some as all that is. Evidence of something is only useful if you are able to identify it.

Your next part is tragic,(condolences) but why would that, be put on God? Everyone dies.

Indeed everyone dies. The answer I always get when asking people if god exists then explaining what happened to my cousin is that it was "gods will"...really? Seriously? I mean that's just screwed up and certainly doesn't make me want to worship or believe in him anymore..makes me hate him even more.

I wouldn't go that far...

But no, I don't believe in aliens or gods or ghosts. BUT I do believe we don't know everything and I'm willing to change my mind if proven wrong.

We, as a species have done marvelous things.

We didn't get the help from aliens.

Probably, not the best thing to tell someone. That answer sounds more western oriented.

Religion can get weird, somethings can even be creepy.

However, humans are here together and they can always continue to choose between fear and love.

Why would these need to be mutually exclusive?
