What stops the police from investigating this? There has been so much of this in the past, they MUST have some idea by now.

Deputies are law enforcement. In my area, police are local sheriffs and deputies are county. State is also police.

Most of these things are animal predation, and aren’t found right away. After a few days, what “evidence” there was is gone.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all if this was insurance fraud.

IDK about that, some of the cases Ive read, predators would not go near these carcasses.

I wonder what the results were when they checked to see if any of the animals were dropped? There have been instances of mutilated cattle found in treetops and draped over power lines.

As long as the right kind of weather conditions were present at the time, Im sure they check this kind of thing if they found cows in trees or on power lines, but if there no weather conditions that support tornadoes, there would have to be another explanation.
