I was too shocked to discuss Earth.
I can imagine it must of been very traumatic. Best to try to forget the entire incident.
If they came back and announced they were here to the entire planet, would you want them here?
I believe if they wanted to take over the planet they would have already done that. No, I would not be in favor of them taking over the planet. However, I'm not sure how easy it would be to catch and kill them.
Far out. Do you speculate that maybe these microscopic creatures will destroy humanity?
They will likely be completely unaware of their hosts, much like Earthly viruses. They will have to evolve to not destroy their hosts (us) if they are to survive but being without sentience they will have to rely on evolutionary changes to achieve that.
Perhaps they will affect our behavior in some manner like the parasites that attach to an ant's ganglia and somehow make it to climb to the top of a blade of grass and hang on waiting to be eaten by a sheep so that the parasite can continue on to it's next stage of life in the sheep's intestines.
Another scenario is that the aliens arrive but they are entirely artificial, the civilization that created them and sent them on their way having disappeared millennia ago. Imagine Voyager if it had an advanced AI arriving at a civilized world in a million years.
