Yes, but I've got close family there and I have visited 9 different states already. I don't need to justify myself to a Canadian.
I would expect a Canadian--especially one from from Windsor--to be much more knowledgeable about America than folks in Europe would be, generally speaking.

Europe is not a country, I am a British citizen. I have my own independent culture from every other country in this continent so please STOP saying 'Europe' to classify where I am from. I repeat Europe is NOT a country.
Each country in the continent of Europe has it's own separate culture, we all have our own separate politics with differing views.

I disagreed with the comment, which I highlighted, that Americans have a general dislike for the English.
Obviously, however, you should be aware that there ARE certain minorities that have a tendency to have a hatred or dislike of the English nation as a whole.

There are some Irish-Americans who dislike the English for historical reasons. Maybe some other ones as well have historical grievances against the English or British, like Barack Obama, because of his grandfather:

Europe is obviously not culturally monolithic. The same thing applies to the other European countries: they have their own cultures. That has nothing to do with my point, though. Culturally, Americans and Canadians are quite close. The British are a bit more culturally distant.
