the confusing thing for me is that they want "independence", but want to join the eu. That isn't independence. i wish they'd just admit that they don't like the english, that's what this all boils down to.
Living in England, I'm not convinced English people actually want the Union. I don't think they'd actually care if it split up. The United Kingdom, hasn't been United in quite some time.
I hope, though, this time, if they vote no that she is told that she will not be allowed another referendum.
If the Scots vote to remain, then Nicola should resign. Time they had someone in charge not suffering from tunnel vision.
Well there is only one nation showing disdain on this thread by the looks of it. And if you don't care and we want to go our own way. Why don't we just come to a mutual amicable split?
Because an independent Scotland run by anti-British Communists would be an unwelcome neighbour, and a platform for illegals to enter our sacred lands. We would also have to move our nukes, which would be a pain.
Hypothetically. Just suppose Sturgeon gets her way and a Referendum for an independent Scotland from ALL aspects of British union is put to the vote. And suppose she wins the vote and Scotland can go its own way unilaterally.
Just suppose she is usurped 3 or 4 years later and a the next leader wants another Referendum - should that be granted, or would someone like Sturgeon prevent it on the grounds that Scotland has already decided its future (at the 2nd attempt!)

Scotland, the land of the Neverendum.
