So, it has been confirmed that the UK economy contracted during the April-June quarter, given the current mess is very likely that the July-September quarter will also see negative growth so we will be in a recession. The pound has fallen to new lows as a result of the news. Brexit is officially making the British people poorer and this is only the start.

This thing is only just starting.
Brexiteers throughout this whole process have consistently overestimated the importance that other EU countries give to the UK export market and consistently underestimated the importance the other EU countries place on the internal EU single market. There never has been any chance that the EU would put the latter at risk of unraveling just to keep the former. Ideally they would want both of course but if it comes down to a choice they will pick the EU single market every time.

Impending recession
Significant rise in hate crime since the 2016 referendum
The pound at its lowest level in 2 years
The most right wing Tory government in my lifetime
The breakup of the union
The NHS falling apart.

Well done Brexquitters. This is really taking back control isn't it. I have nothing but disdain for the damage you've done to the UK.

When the food and medicine shortages hit, Brexiquitters should be the first to go without. Only fair.

Nonsense.
Q1 saw a build-up as firms stockpiled for Brexit planned for March 31st.
Q2 saw this rundown after Brexit didn't happen then.
Q3 might well see an upturn - Stockpiling for end-Oct Brexit on top of Xmas build up with consumer spending strong.

It's not Brexit that is causing this but the uncertainty of when and how it will happen.Rather than seize upon these figures as evidence that Brexit is bad for Britain it's the Remainers in Parliamnent trying to thwart Brexit who are causing economic damage.

The one thing worse than the uncertainty caused by this whole debacle would be a no deal brexit.

English Remainers should consider moving to Scotland to help them gain independence from the cancer of English nationalism. Let the Little Englanders fester in their self-created hatred and economic collapse. Maybe its a lesson they need to learn.

Why not blame the 'mass shootings' in America on Brexit as well? lol. The NHS is going to benefit from Brexit and the 'right wing' government is going to save the UK from the left wing lunatics like Corbyn who, if they had there way would turn the UK into a 3rd world hell-hole. If you don't like the politics in the UK you could always p*** off to Rwanda where I am sure you would be happy with life no?

How on earth is Brexit going to help the NHS?

You cite an opinion poll, I go with the reality of the ground.
I"m sure there are lots of people who aspire to a united Ireland but here I don't meet many of them who want it now.
Or certainly ones that ever talk about it.
And Sinn Fein don't appear to be going anywhere fast in gaining public support for a united Ireland.
The reality is politicians in Ireland have enough trouble trying to run Ireland efficiently without taking on board the whole sorry mess that is NI.
Your 'reality on the ground' Roscoe is just evidence of the cognitive bias bubble you are inhabiting.
Show me one reputable POLL that shows people in the Rep of Ireland voting down a UI.
