The trees might be able to survive in sheltered positions, but they don't produce olives. I've been trying to find any success stories with producing olives in the UK for years, and the best was a single harvest of 20 kilos from 200 trees, after the trees had been in the grow for years, and there wasn't any mention of another crop in the blog from the place. I get more from my single tree than that.
The only olives produced in the UK on a regular basis, are grown in tunnel houses - that says it all.
Yes they do:-
There are olive farms in the south from Kent to Cornwall, there is a commercial olive grove on Anglesey, that is an island as far north as Liverpool in the north of England!!
Fact is you are still spending your whole life trying to convince the world that NZ is some kind of Tropical Paradise! lol
You're not alone A lot of NZ's do! Australians are even worse, they don't have any topic of conversation other than the weather - at least Australia does have a range of climates though - NZ's on the other hand refuse to acknowledge their climate being the SAME as the UK!! Its sad really, you have a cfb Oceanic climate like the UK so 'get over it'!
Some parts of NZ even have a similar climate to the Scottish highlands!:-
subpolar oceanic climate (Köppen Cfc),[1] with long but relatively mild (for their latitude) winters and cool and short summers (average temperatures of at least 10 °C (50 °F) for one to three months). Examples of this climate include parts of coastal Iceland, the coast of Norway north of Bodø, the Scottish Highlands, the mountains of Vancouver Island, and Haida Gwaii in Canada, in the Northern Hemisphere and extreme southern Chile in the Southern Hemisphere (examples include Punta Arenas), the Tasmanian Central Highlands, and parts of New Zealand.

Mate it's been clear since day 1 you are very much envious of the climate in New Zealand and Australia. When do you see Australians talk about nothing more than the weather in that sub? Give it a rest
Cornwall and how nice it is to visit in summer. Unfortunately it's turned into one particular poster claiming Cornwall weather wise is no different than Inverness because they share the same climate zone. Makes no sense

Lol! .... if you could direct me to the sites of these olives farms, that would be much appreciated.
Anglesey? ..... you mean the trees that were planted in 2007, and then never mentioned again?
To produce a crop, Olives need more heat over a longer time, than the UK can provide.
