Last night I had a veggie burger between some whole wheat flax bread stuffed with spinach, tomatoes, red onion and avocado. Also had some tortillas chips with super hot pico de gallo and guac.

Tonight's meal: green beans sauteed in garlic, sriracha, and some obscene Trinidad Scorpion Butch T peppers I grew from seeds, with wheat noodles in a black pepper/Bragg's amino sauce, then sauteed again for a couple minutes in some capsicum oil. And a Hoegaarden.

I have to say, of all the meals I've had, this is the probaby the closest I've felt to those cartoons you used to see where the character ingested a pepper that made them turn red and breathe fire. Those peppers I grew are from the hottest strain in the world, at nearly 1.5 million scoville units. The capsicum oil kicked it up a few, so we're probably looking at at least 2.5 million scoville units .

It tastes great. You have about two or three bites before the heat starts to hit, and a couple later, the burn starts. By the end of the bowl, you're there. Still tastes wicked good; the green beans were sauteed but still have snap to them, and the noodles have a nice, dark taste with a slightly salty, molasses-like tang.

I'd like to point out that this meal is 100% vegan As a strict vegetarian, I've gotten lots of jabs over the years over my "sissy" diet. I'd just like to point out that my sissy diet can kill people with heart problems and will make you stare into the pupils of the devil.

As a fun side, these peppers cause you to breathe quite heavily. The increased oxyge n your brain gives you a sort of a high where you feel spiritually elevated, similar to a "runner's high." You should try it. It's totally legal.

Offer still stands: if you ever find yourself in the greater LA area, come on over and I'll make you dinner
