Okay the last thing I had was a Nintendo 64 *waiting for smart comments* LOL! So I'm considering getting something but now there's just too many options.
1. XBox 360
2. Playstation
3. Wii
Are there any other consoles out there now other than these? So which one should I get...
PC.. Get a PC. You can upgrade it as time goes on. You're stuck with the same hardware with a console. You can buy controllers for the PC also, if you're not a fan of the keyboard and mouse (I heart keyboard and mouse)

Nintendo 64 ... Nintendo 64 ... I vaguely remember my grandpa mentioning that he had one when he was a kid.
Is the game console for you? What games do you like to play?
Welcome to LA, btw, I was raised in LA and now I'm in NoCal.
The Wii makes a fantastic transitional console for anyone coming off of the N64. See photos.
If you have an HDTV you can pick up a component cable for the Wii dirt cheap at Monoprice. The component cable will allow you to play your Wii games in progressive scan and in wide-screen 16:9 format.

It would be for me and my daughter (12 y/o). I like the game show games like wheel of fortune. Now I have played one of those military shooting games at someone's house I just can't think of the name of it and those are pretty cool. I have played the basketball one and the football one before a long time ago. I like the racing car stuff to.

Not only do I have to consider what console to buy then these consoles come with all kinds of accessories and add ons that I have to consider to. I just want to get something that has the best games and a wide variety. Decisions...decisions...
