I'll second that. Qu Japan is our goto for ramen. However, just ending a cruise excursion, to Bermuda, the Japanse restaurant on the ship had thick-sliced pork belly in their ramen. I always thought Qu's pork slices were too thin. I believe Kangnam BBQ's ramen cafe has thicker slices of pork as well. Other than that, the ramen at Qu is spot on.

https://dbknews.com/2019/10/19/colle...-city-council/

City staff this week recommended the College Park City Council conditionally approve a developer’s proposal to develop a strip of the College Park Shopping Center.

The planned mixed-use development — proposed by Greystar, a development firm — would be nine stories and have nearly 800 beds for students as well as 318 parking spaces and 165 bicycle spaces in an underground garage, according to a city report.

The storefronts that would be demolished by the project include Marathon Deli, a UPS Store, 7-Eleven, Cafe Hookah, Kevin Nails, Lotsa Pizza, Krazi Kebob, Insomnia Cookies and C.B Chinese Grill. “We’ve gotten to know all nine of our tenants very well, and we’re having a really wonderful, meaningful conversations with all of them,” said Ken Ulman, the Terrapin Development Company’s president. “They’ve all been offered an opportunity to come back into the project.”

It would be nice to see what the structure looks like.

Ground breaking for a new $50 million public policy school at UMD, to be completed in Spring 2022.

"The 70,000 square foot building will be located between the Lee Building and Rossborough Inn, said Bill Olen, the planning and construction director for this university’s Facilities Management."

2022 is a big year for a lot of projects in the area. The Southern Gateway is expected to be completed in 2022 as well as the first section of the Purple Line and the new College Park city hall.

Maybe the Coffee House/Wine Bar by the laundry mat will start construction by then.

Yeah from a long term perspective, I suppose that delivery of the Purple Line is kind of completion of Phase 1 for the area's development boom and development could hyperize after that.

Not to mention the Greystar Knox Rd. project and the grad student housing project at the current Burger King on Baltimore Ave...both should be done by the end of 2022..

Also, the new Maryland Hillel is supposed to be done by 2022.

Hard to keep up with all the development. Based on above messages, 2022 is huge. Anything tentatively scheduled to be completed in 2020? If so, what?
