Interesting that some seem to believe bad mouthing Bowser on CD will affect the election. Kind of silly IMO. As we go down to the election the news media will present this as a race that is in doubt. They do that to sell papers and airtime.

You don't seem to be very familiar with how running a campaign works. Here's a hint: Internet searches are a major component of candidate research, both by prospective voters and by the campaign themselves.

Might I recommend you exit your 500 sf micro apartment and see how the world of politics actually works in the technology age?

Default Who cares about a candidate's "temperament"??

The Post endorses Muriel Bowser for D.C. mayor - The Washington Post
The Post endorsed Bowser today, citing Catania's "temperament."

umm... I see exactly NO reason to be worried that a mayor has angry outbursts. Hey, if a "bully" gets stuff done, I'm 100% for that bully.

In politics, bullies rarely get things done.

Has DC ever had an independent Mayor? If not, pretty much forget about it.

No, and that's the point. An independent is breathing down Democrat Muriel Bowser's neck in what should have been a no-contest race for Mayor.

I always find it funny when people think something simply cannot happen because it's never happened before. Even funnier when you consider the sample time frame is a mere 40 years.

Catania can win this thing. He's not out of the running.

Now why in the world would Catania win? Not saying he totally can't but come on, man.
I could see if DC had no democrats left, but that just doesn't make good sense as a
likelihood so we will have to see.

Every poll carries with it caveats. This one happens to skew towards the black vote. No surprise that her numbers went up when more black people were polled. The key to this election will be voter turnout.

Quote:
In the late September survey, 53 percent of likely voters were white, while 42 percent were African American. In the new poll, 48 percent of likely voters are black and 43 percent white — hewing more closely to the demographic split seen in the mid-September NBC4/Washington Post/Marist poll that put Bowser 17 points ahead of Catania.
