Elections have consequences. Never forget that.
The "relative silence" is because you are ignoring posters. Explain to me why you support rent control and a more expansive government to keep rents down, yet oppose Muriel Bowser in favor of a more conservative candidate. Why is it your business if Bowser wants to reject that level of socialism and wants to allow free enterprise?

Rent control? Socialism? What the hades are you talking about? Show me where I've EVER supported either concept, much less on this thread!

Derp derp derp. That must be Zombie talk for "I don't have a relevant rebuttal so I dodge and weave and deflect from the topic at hand."

Does anyone know???
You said Bowser would be a poor mayor because she would not keep rents down. You can only keep rents down thru big government means, such as rent control and mandates for affordable housing. Those are socialist policies that you are supporting.

That's not what I said.

Your intellectual dishonesty and fundamental disingenuousness tells me you have nothing.

Uh oh. It looks like Bowser is only up by 8 points.

What do you apathetic folks have to say about that? Is that shoo-in candidate still looking like a shoo-in? LOL

New D.C. mayoral poll: Muriel Bowser leads David Catania by 8 points - The Washington Post

Oh, and what do you folks have to say about the damning piece in the Washington Post today about Bowser refusing to participate in numerous candidate forums?

Democrats and liberals have never had extraordinary foresight. This is yet another example. Catania is NOT a long shot....wait and see.

Muriel Bowser holds line on D.C. mayoral debates; some activists hold their applause - The Washington Post

That's exactly what you said since I quoted your post from here. Explain what a mayor of DC could do to bring down rents and stop gentrification without resorting to rent control or lower income housing mandates? Were you trolling before when you claimed you wanted a mayor who wanted to stop gentrification or did you change your mind and become a knee jerk conservative in that short time period? Why not actually clarify what you said? Sounds like you're going out of your way to be dishonest and troublemaking.

I'm not sure why people from DC should care what people in Virginia think about DCs mayor. The data and all logic support an easy win by Bowser. If Virginia doesn't like that, maybe they should try seceding again. That worked well for them the last time.

Doh!! Bowser leads Catania by a measly 4 points according to the latest poll!

What do you apathetic, naïve types on this thread think about that?!

David Catania is Gaining On Muriel Bowser in DC's Mayoral Race | Local News | Washingtonian

Quote:
DC’s mayoral race is tightening.

A new poll by veteran DC pollster Ron Lester shows Democrat Muriel Bowser four points ahead of Independent David Catania in the November 4 general election. Bowser comes in at 34 percent to Catania’s 30. Carol Schwartz, also running as an independent, came in at 16 percent. Nineteen percent of those polled were undecided.

Lester’s poll is significant for a number of reasons. He’s among the District’s most experienced pollsters—he’s worked for major candidates including Vincent Gray and Marion Barry—and he’s known for precise, accurate polls.
