I wish there was a Western Washington State, and that eastern Washington would go join Idaho...

Eastern Washington + Eastern Oregon could become "West Idaho," with Spokane its state capital.

Being able to watch the poignant (sharp or pungent in taste or smell.) Exit 72 Uncle Sam 'reader' sign... the only 'sense of reason' on the left coast.

Thanks Al Hamilton... R.I.P.

ROFL - I love that sign. And the Seattle Times story on it recently was my favorite Seattle Times cover in years.

*and I don't care about the politics ON the sign... just its tradition in our world.

The weather. I live for cloudy, dark cool days. Too much sun makes this CA girl depressed! The scenery. Mountains, trees, water, green. I don't think there's anywhere prettier! Coffee. Good food. The proximity to my family in CA. I simply love it here.

Depends on what part of Western Washington you are talking about? The I-5 Corridor IMO sucks. Further North and South is just okay....the best part of Western Washington IMO is the Olympic Peninsula which is close to the mountains and salt water it wins hands down.

For the other 300+ days, there is usually lots to do.. (repair roof leaks, kill moss)
The above could apply in any part of the northern US.

Oct 30th and April 30th... yikes. least favorite annual dates. (2) $8,000 checks payable 'as rent' to the property tax gods. (up from $150)
If someone can afford a house that has two $8000 property tax payment per year then they shouldn't complain.

Can the majority of the Olympic Peninsula join them?
Did you know that Eastern King county once tried to succeed from the Seattle elite liberalism and form their own county called Evergreen.
