Indeed. Date records could easily be broken next week, and if the current trend continues, this September will turn out to be the 4th warmest since 1961.

Once this heat is done and dusted there will be a rapid cool down when a northerly blasts down from the Arctic in October.

Starting today, after one of the warmest early Falls Oregon's Wilamette valley has seen in years, we get yanked back to reality. Rain and high winds for the coasts of Oregon, Washington, B.C. and even Northern California are the order for this day and the next several. We inland, will see rain also but a little less wind.

This weather pattern will continue well into October and I can confidently say we've seen the last of a very odd summer.

Thank your lucky star you aren't down here... In SoFlorida maybe by December will we be so lucky. Still low temps just under 80 with high humidity like a broke record. I've had the A/C on since early March this year...

This past week we had a cold front that put us two days with highs in the 60s. We hit our first night in the 30s on the 22nd with 37°F that morning. We had a frost warning as well. Then came the official first day of Autumn and we haven't been below 50°F and days have been in the 80s The forecast for the week doesn't look too bad. One more warm day, then seasonal, a cold front, but nothing too extreme.

We went from chilly and dry to warm and wet the last couple weeks. This week looks to be close to average, but damp. Chilly weather expected to return on Saturday with a forecasted high of 55 F.

Depressing. Although not the sole reason, climate was one of the reasons my relatives moved back from South Florida.

The sun finally came out. Still a bit hazy and humid, but nice to see blue sky. My room was a good temperature with the windows open overnight. Didn't need any cover and no feeling of cold in the morning.

Mid-morning was nice, too. 70°F, dew point down to 60°F. I'm going to try to spend some time outside to celebrate the lack of rain and cloud.

Yesterday evening shallow fog was forming right over the ground when it was in the low 70s. Pretty to see a 2 foot tall cloud hovering in the field; wish I had my camera.

Autumn is in full swing here

Ironically this is the 'best' forecast I've seen all year.

Did it really go to 85°F today? Was out when it was 80°F with a dew point of 67°F in the late afternoon. Felt warm and rather humid-ish but not that hot. I think the low sun angle is making a big difference.

Blah. I want English weather. We can't seem to get warmth and sunshine at the same time, except for part of today.

I've noticed that too. It was warm and relatively sunny today, but the sun doesn't feel as strong as it did even a few weeks ago. The smell of leaves is in the air as well.
