No contest at all..Denver by a landslide!!

Denver has low humidity, thin air, no bugs, comfortable summer temps moderated by afternoon daily thunderstorms or just afternoon clouds alone..Mild winter temps with abundant winter sunshine..Snow is always possible from October to May but chinook winds and sunshine rapidly melt the snow. Bottom line..if you like variety in your weather then Denver is the choice..It is truly a wonderland for those who have a passion for meteorology..There is no major city in the 50 states that sits at an elevation of 5280 feet and because of that you will get a variety of weather events!!

Anchorage is just too dark in the winter with abundant snow that stays on the ground until spring..keep in mind that it also has a large mosquito population in the summer months..Just too wet, dark and cloudy for my taste.

Actually, Albuquerque sits at a mile high (city hall/downtown). Parts of the city are lower and higher as well.
